A car seized from a drug-dealer in Wellingborough under DVLA Legislation is now part of Northamptonshire Police’s fleet of vehicles and is being used to disrupt criminals across the county.The Vauxhall GTC was seized in early 2018 from a disqualified, uninsured driver with links to drug supply in the Queensway area of Wellingborough. Police are appealing for witnesses following a robbery in London Road, Raunds. The incident happened at about 10pm on Monday, April 15, near the junction with Dryden Street, when a dark coloured hatchback car, possibly a Ford Focus, passed two teenage boys who were walking along the street. Thinking back to when strange things started happening back in early 2017, an elderly gentlemen with wellies was spotted frequently in the area of the under 8’s playground – Saddlers Park, behind Weighbridge Way in Raunds. The first noticeable occurrence was when local dog walkers found no dog waste bin at the usual site. It had been removed and placed inside the wooded area where a brook runs through. A 25-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident and is currently in police custody.
