On Friday 28th January, Cllr Sylvia Hughes Mayor of Raunds and her Consort Cllr Dudley Hughes hosted their Community Burns Night in aid of the Mayor’s chosen charity for 2021-2022 Service Six at the newly renovated Saxon Hall.

The Mayor welcomed local residents, visiting Mayors and other guests for an evening of fun including a Burn’s Night Supper, quiz, raffle, and customary traditions while raising funds for the wonderful charity that supports our local children and families at Manor School and in the community.

Cllr Sylvia Hughes Mayor of Raunds said,

The evening was a great success made special by the participation of the community.

The town council have issued a special thanks to event sponsor NBC Hire for providing cutlery and crockery for the evening, Mark and Andrea and team at Jesters for providing the traditional Burn’s Night Supper, Natasha, and Neil for providing the decorations and the stunning Balloon Arch and Tonic Sound for the evening entertainment.

They would also like to thank all the amazing local businesses including Howdens, ModNVape Raunds, Adam Apple, Mughal Dynasty, Jester’s, and The Treasury that supported the event by donating prizes for the raffle.
