A driver has been reported for traffic offences after a pedestrian was injured in Wellingborough Road, Northampton.

The incident happened at around 10.50pm on Good Friday, April 19, when a woman pedestrian was in collision with a car and suffered a broken leg.

As a result of enquiries by Northamptonshire Police, including both private and public CCTV systems and use of the national police computer, a suspected vehicle and driver were identified.

A man attended a voluntary interview earlier today, Wednesday, May 1, and has now been served a notice of intended prosecution for the alleged offences of failing to stop and failing to report a road traffic collision.
