Each month Raunds Town Voice receives police data regarding reported crimes in the local area, and each month we try to assess whether there has been any material change to previous periods.
We have now received data relating to the full year of 2018 and we’re able to publish our findings
We are pleased to be able to report that reported instances in the following areas appear to be reduced:
- Anti-social behaviour (-41%)
- Bicycle Theft (-33.3%)
- Burglary (-47.6%)
- Other Theft (-33.3%)
- Possession of weapons (-33.3%)
- Shoplifting (-7.1%)
As a whole the number of individual crimes reported is down by 14.4% against 2017, however areas where their appear to be an increase in reported crimes are as follows

- Criminal damage and arson (+ 11.4%)
- Public order (+70%)

As always, it’s important to highlight that this data does not reflect the growth in Raunds’ population as this data is not available. It also only shows the number of crimes that were reported.
