Lack of Council Funding Results in Changes to Centrebus 16/X16 Service to Kettering

What is Changing:

The service will operate to a revised timetable and route, with most journeys operating between Corby & Thrapston with some journeys omitting either Woodford & Islip or Cranford.  The peak school journeys will still continue to operate to and from Raunds.

This change will see the current 9 stops in Raunds on Monday to Friday, reduce down to just 3

Why is it changing:

As part of a network review following the end of council funding on some services in our network.

When is it changing:

Sunday 22nd July

New Timetable:

Raunds Student Mia Langley says:

I go to college in Kettering and have lessons at 12:30/1:30 so I’ll have to get the bus at 7:05 and wait around till then

Garry Watts says:

So no chance of applying for a job in Kettering then! I have never known such bad bus service as in this area. The only reliable direction is Raunds-Northampton

How will the changes impact you?

My husband had just spent a week in KGH and I,ve had to use the 16 to get me there nearly every day thus means now that I couldn’t,t see him now unless I ask friends for a lift or get on a bus to higham and get the 49 I think. Or use serve transport and pay nearly £20 for a there and back again lift. Ridiculous!!!!

Also shopping will be no more in Kettering unless you first go to Higham to catch the Kettering bus number 49.
