Well done to Manor Schools Toby Ward (Year 9), Caleb Ward (Year 11) Harriet Palmer (Year 13) who were part of two teams that were sponsored to swim as many lengths of Kettering swimming pool as possible in an hour.

The students all swim for Kettering Amateur Swimming Club. One team was made up of swimmers from the Club’s Silver Squad, including Caleb and Harriet, and the other team comprised swimmers from the Club’s Bronze Squad including Toby. Each team competed in a six person relay.

The Silver team completed 205 lengths whilst the Bronze team completed 201 lengths in the hour, taking on average, less than 18 seconds per length! The teams have so far raised around £1,800 for Cransley Hospice with money still coming in. Well done Toby, Caleb and Harriet.

If you’d like to know more about Kettering Amateur Swimming Club, please have a look at the club website kasc.org.uk. If you’d like to know how you can support Cransley Hospice, please go to cransleyhospice.org.uk.
