Windmill School Officially Opens New Playgrounds

This morning (Monday 16th April) Windmill Primary School students and parents returned after a few weeks off to a grand opening of the new playground equipment and markings across each of the 3 school playgrounds.

Raunds’ Mayor, Nick Beck also attended to cut the ribbon and to say a few words.  The new equipment includes a mixture of fitness, fun and sensory pieces as well as great markings to help maintain fitness and activity with the children.

School Principal, Mr Coleman was given much credit for relentlessly applying and keeping on top of East Northamptonshire Council for funding from a Community pot in order to achieve this great result.

Parents, teachers and all of the students gave Mr Coleman a great big round of applause to say thank you (followed promptly with a little early morning playtime!)
