Sporadic Post Deliveries in Raunds?

Someone asked today: “How often is post delivered in Raunds?

I appear to get no post for days and then lots at the same time and have even tested it by sending things over different days that arrive together.

Is the post delivery scaled back?

It would help to know when waiting for letters.”

Postal delivery in Raunds is absolute Rubbish, it used to be so reliable with our original posties, but its all gone haywire. Lets hope it gets sorted soon before we all have problems not paying bills that are not delivered in time. I feel Raunds as a town is falling apart because of Cutbacks.

Well, I don’t know about any changes to the routes etc. but I do know that deliveries have now become sporadic. It would be a nice if we were actually told what is going on.

The old routes and posties (sorry, don’t know their names) were very good but now it is more chaotic.

But you appear to work/live in York (and your current town is in Turkey?), so how does that relate to post delivery in Raunds?

Ours has improved. Naming no names but before we moved the postie regularly delivered post to the wrong houses.

Ours seems to have improved lately but it doesn’t come until the afternoon usually and like others it comes in fits and starts

I know it’s been almost ten years since I was a postman, but when anyone went sick, it was almost always covered by two people doing it as overtime. It doesn’t seem the same now.

Nobody wants to do overtime as they have increased size of rounds so we are all at breaking point

The pay was much poorer then, years before it was privatised, and most of us needed to do overtime.

So… old system – poor pay but manageable rounds, new system – better pay but bigger rounds. ☹️

I only seem to get it 2 or 3 days a week even when I know more has been sent
