Could You Spare Some Time to Talk to Children at Windmill School About Your Career?

Children think of Possibilities in Careers Week

During the week commencing 10th July, children at Windmill Primary School will be thinking about what their future could hold as they take part in the bi-annual Careers Week.  Children across all year groups will get an opportunity to listen to visitors from a wide range of jobs.  Younger children will learn about four or five job families through the week but children in Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 will spend time with 3 or 4 different visitors each day.

‘Possibilities is one of our Curriculum Drivers,’ explained Principal, Matt Coleman, ‘and we created Careers Week to help widen the view of opportunities that children think are available to them.  We already have a number of visitors booked in for the week but we are looking for more!  We want to provide children with the chance to talk about as wide a range of jobs and professions as possible.’

If you think you might be able to help and are able to offer an hour or two of your time to talk to children about what you do during the week commencing 10th July, please contact Windmill on 01933 623121 or email Michelle Brett michellebrett@windmillprimary.net
