How about Mac Donald’s pay someone to clean up London rd as it’s mostly their rubbish down there!

Maybe if they are asked they would join in as part of the community. To be fair they are out early every morning cleaning up the site around McDonalds , the rubbish on London Road belongs to the dirty people who bought the food and throw it out if their car windows, probably the delinquent people on the football club carpark doing donuts in their cars every evening

Unfortunately people are mucky creatures and it would be an on-going job costing thousands which could be better spent elsewhere. It is now becoming a culture of volunteers running services the council should provide but can no longer afford. Northampton have a scheme for on the spot fines for litterers run by an outside company. Personally I think they should not only be fined but made to spend a weekend litter picking as well.
