Little Sunbeams Raunds

If anyone is at a lose end on a Tuesday morning, Why not come along to Little Sunbeams, we meet every Tuesdays at 9.30 -11.00 at St Peters church Raunds. It is all free, (any donation is welcome.) Anyone who has a pre-school child is so very welcome to pop in , We are a friendly group of Mums ,Dads , Grandparents and carers. If you want to chat to others over a coffee and cake please come along. This is what we did yesterday. We had a fantastic time . We sang our “Hello song” then Nigel ,who is like the pied piper of story telling, ( the little all ones all ended up surrounding him with huge eyes full of wonder) he is a fantastic story teller, he told the story of the Monkey Puzzle and did all the voices, well done Nigel.

Then Kari did the most amazing “lost little lamb story, She was so amazing, Kari called each and every child by their name and told them they were Gods little lambs. We then followed her as the shepherd, around the church trying to look after and keeping every little lamb safe , just as God does, we did loose a little lamb , a little lamb called Uriel, so as God does when a little lamb goes astray , Kari set off to find the lost little lamb . It was just too beautiful the children’s faces was wonderful. I wish I had taken pictures.

We had even more fun when Stefanie did lots of sing along and action songs, helped along by Nigel, the “beamers” had a whale of a time. Jumping about and doing all actions. We then went off to do the craft , we made a little lamb. I have never seen so many extra fluffy sheep in all my life .The children went mad with the cotton wool LOL

By then we all needed our snack time , we are so very spoilt, with Richard who is a fantastic cook, he brings us the most amazing goodies every Tuesday ,it was cherry cake today Yummy. I only had two slices really ! The little ones had their snack then off to play.

Just before the end of the morning ,we are now are going to give the child or children a certificate & a treat for being helpful , or good at sitting down eating the snack or good at sharing. We had two today Pippin and Lily.

Anyone wanting to come along and have fun for free, we are at St Peters church every Tuesday 9.30 -11.00 You will find a very warm welcome and a friendly bunch of people.
Regards Toni
